2012 Dates For Regular Meetings Of Council

Regular Meetings for the council of the Town of Lumsden will be held in the Council Chambers of the Municipal Office every second and fourth Tuesday of each month at 6:30 pm with the exception of July and August when the date of the meeting will be as follows:
                            July 10th 2012                     August 14th, 2012.

Committee Meetings

Group I Committee Meetings – Meetings are scheduled for the 1st Thursday of the month at 5:15 pm in the Council Chambers. *The meeting scheduled for Thursday, December 1st has been rescheduled for Thursday, December 8th at 5:00pm in the Municipal Office*

Group II Committee Meeting - Meetings are scheduled for the 1st Thursday of the month at 3:45 pm in the Town Shop. *The meeting scheduled for Thursday, December 1st has been rescheduled for Thursday, December 8th at 3:45pm in the Town Shop*

TOWN OF LUMSDEN - PARKING ENFORCEMENT

The Town of Lumsden will commence enforcement of parking infraction regulations within the Traffic Bylaw #11-2010 beginning July 2011. The RCMP currently enforce all moving violations.

The purpose of the bylaw and its enforcement is to maintain the safe and efficient movement and parking of vehicular traffic within the Town, as well as maintaining access for emergency vehicles.

There will be a 6 month warning period from July to December, in which Parking Infraction Notices will be issued with a zero dollar fine amount. This time period is intended to educate residents and visitors of the regulations of the Traffic Bylaw.

The most common regulations include; parking restrictions within school zones, handicap parking, 24-hour maximum on-street parking, sidewalk obstruction and prohibited parking areas.
