Hello Lumsdenites of the 1930s, 40s, 50s & 60s. We will do it again!

As a result of the successful reunion held in 2005, our Centennial year, we have decided to host another opportunity for current and former residents of Lumsden and district to get together for a weekend of “Fun and Fellowship”.

A local committee, named “The Meet & Greet 2007”, and chaired by Bill Klempp, is busy making arrangements.

This reunion will be held September 1–3, 2007, in conjunction with the 20th annual anniversary of the world famous “ Lumsden Duck Derby “, this year with a chance to win $1M.

The weekend will consist of the following:

Saturday, September 1st – Pizza Party 3 – 8 PM. (Duck Derby Dance to follow).
Sunday, September 2nd – Evening Banquet and silent auction.
Monday, September 3rd – Pancake Breakfast and all other Duck Derby events.

Cost of the Pizza Party and Sunday evening Banquet -- $25 per person.
And due to popular request, The Lumsden Historical Museum is reprinting Lumsden’s History Book, “The Hills Of Home”. Copies will be available at the banquet Sunday evening, Cost -- $25.

We ask one favor from everyone: Please forward the names, postal addresses, or e-mail addresses of everyone that you know, who was, (or still is), a resident of Lumsden or area during the 30s, 40s, 50s or 60s. We will invite them to our Meet & Greet in September 2007. Everyone is invited!

In 2005 we attracted 175 people from as far west as Vancouver Island, as far east as eastern Ontario, and as far south as Lawrence, Kansas, and a whole bunch of places in between. In 2007 we want more. Please help us out.
