Lumsden Elementary School offers programming for approximately 450 students ranging from prekindergarten to grade eight. Standard Saskatchewan Ministry of Education curricula are offered at all grade levels with French and band offered as locally determined options from grades 4 and 6, respectively. LES is an active participant in Prairie Valley School Division initiatives such as Pathways to Literacy, A Time for Significant Leadership, and Positive Behaviour Interventions and Supports. LES has made technology integration into all curricular areas an important focus.

Lumsden Elementary offers a wide range of co-curricular (outdoor education, drama, music, choir, science and heritage fairs) and extra-curricular (student leadership, golf, soccer, cross country, volleyball, basketball, curling, badminton, track and field) activities to enhance students’ educational experiences.

In addition, LES administration and staff work collaboratively with the Lumsden Elementary School School Community Council (LESSCC) to provide additional opportunities for students and to facilitate parent and community involvement in school activities.
